Business idea #3: Language learning website

My latest money making idea:

Language learning could be turned into an income producing opportunity for users (and the webmaster too).
Here is how my idea would work:

1. Bilingual users can sign up as "authors" or "teachers" where they write lessons in a particular language.

2. Users wanting to learn a language (for example, mandarin) would select Mandarin from the language categories, they then can scroll through a list of language lessons written by the members who have "teacher/author" status.

3. People can purchase lessons for $0.99 each or whatever dollar amount you as the website owner deems appropriate for a lesson. This is where the money part comes in, and money is always a great incentive. I know I wouldn't mind paying a dollar for a good well written lesson.

4. Users can then rate from one to five stars the quality of the lesson, and leave comments. This way the users writing the best tutorials will get repeat business, and make more money. The website owners will take a share for the upkeep of the site and hosting of the lessons.

A have done some searching, and I have not yet seen a site that operates in this exact manner.
Perhaps the bi-lingual members could give webinars, or publish videos to teach their language, instead of just written articles.

Business idea #2: Built in scale

Yet another foot-related idea.
Insoles for shoes, that can measure how much you weigh and transmit that data to an ipod.
These inserts would take into account that people may stand with more weight on one side, or may put more weight to the back or front, so there would be some programming involved. Hopefully nothing too technical for this invention.
Even if this shoe insert were to take an average between left and right, front and back, I would think the end result would still be a fairly accurate weight measurement.
To add to its usefulness, if this data could be sent to an iphone it would be useful for many people to monitor their weight. The iphone app would be utilized to do much of the computing and decoding of the data to come to an accurate weight measurement. That way the in-shoe sensors can contain less electronics and would not require a processor since the mobile application would calculate based on the data supplied.

...more strange ideas to come!

Business idea #1: Fancy tire shoes

I recently saw a video where people in other countries were creating sandals from old tires. This could be taken even a step futher and instead of just sandals, a fancier version that looks more like a running shoe, or a boot, can be created.
Even the top portion of the tire shoe/boot can be made from recycled material, maybe recycled denim? This could potentially be a 100% recycled product, or at least very close to 100%.
The above tire sandal can be the inspiration for a new casual shoe, work boot or casual shoe. The durability would be an excellent selling feature. The manufacturing of the sole of your shoe is already done for you!

Idea behind my new blog.

I have a habit of coming up with a new idea for a business literally every day.

So I'm going to start posting my ideas here, with the intent of hopefully helping a few people out by putting some ideas out there. I hope to spark some creativity in others as well by sharing my ideas.

I'll post and do a little advertising. If this blog does well I'll keep posting.

Happy blogging.
